The Southwinds Condominium Complex, located on Atlantic Beach's grand oceanfront, provides you with the vacation you deserve. Allow yourself to drift away from your everyday stress and relax in one of the two outdoor swimming pools. Take the walkway down to the beach and enjoy a lovely stroll. It's the perfect place for a vacation! This complex is conveniently located to area amusements and offers laundry facilities and charcoal grills on-site. Southwinds condo F-6 is a beautifully decorated, oceanfront elevated first-floor condo with a good ocean view. With two bedrooms and two baths, your family will get the quality time you need to catch up with one another. The oceanfront balcony is always calling, so take in the sights and sounds of the ocean whenever you wish. Inside, enjoy comfortable furnishings like the brand-new sleeper sofa and chairs that create a cozy setting to watch your favorite movies on the TV with a bag of popcorn. The fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher and remodeled pantry, and the dining area are great for family meals together. After washing up in the hall bath with a shower stall, you can tuck the children into the guest bedroom with a set of bunk beds (two twins) and a queen bed as well as a TV for added entertainment. The coveted king-size bed primary bedroom has a remodeled en suite bathroom and an updated walk-in closet. There is even a washer and dryer for your convenience, as well as a new linen closet for all your essentials. The WiFi access will keep the techie in the family happy and allow you to do work away from home! Everything is supplied for your comfort and convenience - all you need is your sunscreen and a beach towel.

We were looking to getaway and found Southwinds in Atlantic Beach. The condo was cozy and comfortable for our weekend trip. It provided everything we needed including beach chairs and a bucket for picking up shells! 🐚 We were just a few steps away from the beautiful sandy beach. Ft. Macon State Park, a historic site with hiking trails, was just down the road. We would definitely return!

Our family has stayed in this unit two years in a row. We love the beach access and the close proximity to Ft Macon but some of the minor issues we had last year were still present this year. For instance, loose curtain rod in living room, broken lamp shade in bedroom and broken screen door on the deck. The Wi-Fi is virtually nonexistent so take that into consideration before booking. Unit could also use a thorough cleaning as some of the less visible areas appeared to have not been addressed in quite some time.

We had a great week! The condo is very nice, quiet, and relaxing with comfortable furniture and updated appliances. Very smart updates have been made to this unit by utilizing the formerly wasted space by the refrigerator with a much needed built-in pantry closet (although I am not sure about the decision to include pull out trash cans as part of the interior of this closet where you store food), and the old hallway leading to the primary bedroom has been turned into a full shower and walk in closet for the primary, and a linen closet for the remaining hallway near the other bedroom and bathroom. Both bathrooms have nice showers with hand-held shower sprays. The kitchen set up could use a refresh as most of the plates and bowls were melamine/plastic and not completely dishwasher safe nor microwave safe. I was running the dishwasher with the bottom mostly empty and my kids had to search through everything for a microwave safe plate to heat leftovers. The WiFi was not the greatest, our Apple phones worked fine, both PC and Mac laptops worked fine, but Android devices would either not connect or drop the connection.

This was our second year staying at Southwinds but our first year using Vacasa. The property overall is great and the room was nicely decorated. However, the screen door was off of the track so unusable for the balcony. Everything else was functional so this wasn’t a big deal. The only complaint I have was with the cleanliness. The ceiling fan had visible dust accumulated, there was body hair on the bathroom floors which we had to vacuum, and there was several inches of standing water in the tray under the equipment in the closet. Someone had placed a hand towel in here which was soaked and smelled. Vacasa sent a maintenance person out quickly who sucked up the water and pretty much solved the issue. Overall this wasn’t a huge deal but the place could have been cleaned a little better. We would likely stay here again and use Vacasa again.

This was our first time going to the beach for a full week. We couldn't believe how quickly it went by. This condo was just what we needed. It was very comfortable and close to everything. We would stay here again.

Condo was nicely updated and well stocked kitchen. It had great storage and would be perfect for a week long trip. We booked a last minute long weekend and loved this space. Close to the beach, would be perfect for seasonal trips. Master bed was comfortable.
