Great condo for our family of 4. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. Third floor, which meant no noises above you. We will be back!

When you break it down by the cost per night and look at the dump motels on Ft. Macon Rd. during the summer, it makes so much sense to spend maybe 10-15 percent more to get a week somewhere like "A Place at the Beach". They even do 3 night packages from what I understand. My aunt owns a time-share there and she, her kids and their families as they have grown over the years, my mom, my daughter, and myself have been coming there for years and will continue to do so.

We stayed at A Place At the Beach for 3 nights with grandkids. Check in at Vacasa was easy and pleasant. When we checked in at the property we got our wristbands for the activities but never received the packet. The unit was clean, but dated. The bed in the main bedroom was lumpy and squeaky, but OK for a couple of nights. We never figured out how to get the TV to work, but that information might have been in the missing packet. The weather was a little cool, so the grands enjoyed the indoor pool. The basketball court was a hit with the oldest one. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and we would do it again.

As advertised, this is a 1.5 bedroom condo. The half-bedroom means a trapezoid bunk bed (full-size bottom bed, twin on top), separated by a partition. Galley kitchen. We spent most of our time on the beach, a quick walk -- resort is oceanfront, probably 4 mins from our door down the steps over the walkway to the beach. The pool has a nice slide, and the courtyard allows kids to play games (soccer, wiffleball, tetherball). This condo/resort is not luxury accomodations, but it suited our purposes well. Small TV, which is fine with us since we don't watch much. But very functional. The only downside -- we had issues with the electronic code entry. Make sure you get two working keys at check-in.
