This is a great spot if you want to stay in AB! They came to the rescue after our original Airbnb (unaffiliated with these people, team, and house etc) turned out to be covered in visible black mold. We immediately started looking for alternatives, found this place, and messaged the team behind this house and they got back to us and into the house in under 18 hours! We’re so grateful for that!
The house is so clean, lovely, and I will definitely be booking it again when I come back to visit friends and family in a few months! The walk is very short to the access and it’s a very charming block!

The Sandy Step is a beautifully decorated coastal home, I love all of the Lilly Pulitzer and shore decor. The kitchen is well stocked, just have to look in the abundance of cabinets and pantry to find specialty platters, etc. The bathrooms are great and the separate "play room" downstairs for the kiddos is perfect. Because the house is elevated, the concrete patio underneath is great for shade and the kid/pet gate at the top of the stairs on the back deck is perfect. Family friendly and close to everything!

The home was perfect for a family of 5 and a visitor. Siblings slept in the bunk beds while the grandparents stayed for a couple nights in the guest room. Knowing we could have our pets with us helped us to enjoy ourselves and truly relax. Appreciated the close walk to the beach and enjoyed the patio for eating lunch or dinner. Cannot wait for the next booking.

This home is situated a very close walk to the ocean, and a short drive to anything you might need - restaurants, shopping, groceries, the park/splashpad for kids, NC Aquarium, Beaufort, Fort Macon. The home is kid-friendly and comfortable. It was perfect for our needs with 2 toddlers, and we hope to visit again.

Spacious and updated house a couple blocks from the beach. The upstairs deck had a gate which was great for kids and dogs. Plenty of amenities for kids as well. Would definitely come back / recommend to others.

Outstanding!! The Sandy Step was amazing, both the home itself and the location. If you're looking for a rental with an amazing new house that has everything in a great location, we highly recommend this home. We will rent again, for sure! The house is new, has a wonderful layout, is comfortable, easy, the decor is inviting and the house has so many amenities including things that we haven't had in other rentals like a pack and play for infants, a beverage fridge in the kitchen, a new gas grill, an outdoor shower, outdoor seating on the deck and under the house (the latter is great for shade). The office in the house allowed us to work seamlessly when needed with privacy. The dining room table easily accommodated all of us (not easy to find). The dishes, pots & pans, glasses, furniture, and decor are nice - not cheap like some rental properties. And the location was fabulous! Walk to everything you need. A couple blocks from the beach so we were able to easily walk back and forth between our beach set up and the house throughout the day for whatever we needed. The beach itself is great - flat, no rocks, great waves. Myriad other things within walking distance, too - The Circle, boardwalk, a lot of restaurants (diner, ice cream, etc). Live music at The Cottage in walking distance, too! This place is a gem. We can't wait for our next visit!

This is a beautiful home and very well kept. We were a party of 7, and our pup joined us as well. We all had plenty of room to unwind and relax without tripping over each other. Dinners were enjoyed around a large table big enough for 10. The kitchen is large and well appointed, and we really appreciated the extras like garbage bags, dishwasher and regular dish soap, paper towels and toilet paper. There is ample space for sleeping, and our kids took advantage of the games room in the evenings. The house is very close to the gorgeous beach, only a 3-4 minute walk. An amazing weather week was the icing on the cake!

Our family really enjoyed Sandy Step. The house is so cheerful and a great layout. The kitchen was amazing. Loved how open it was. We would definitely rent again if our travels bring us back to Atlantic Beach.
