This cozy Carolina coast home is conveniently located minutes from the sandy beach of Indian Beach, perfect for a quiet ocean getaway for you and your loved ones. Spend your days on the waves by surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and enjoying every other waterfront activity imaginable. There's no shortage of things to do and sights to see in this corner of the coast, from the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores less than five miles away, to the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier for additional enjoyment. Towering oak trees frame this charming property where you'll spend leisurely afternoons relaxing on either the front or rear porches. Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. Make yourself at home by streaming your favorite movies on the TV, cooking culinary charms in the kitchen, or eating home-cooked meals at the formal dining table. If you need to stay connected, a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair is available for remote work. For additional convenience, there is central air-conditioning, along with a washer and dryer to take care of the clothes before you return home.

The proximity to the beach is a short walk but you do have to walk down a path that is grown over with some small hills that could make it difficult or impossible for someone with mobility issues even if they just have issues walking like unsteadiness. We did think the rental was a little dated and could use some improvements for the price we paid. Also there was no bunk bed which was one reason we chose this rental in particular. The backyard being fenced was nice with young kids and pets to keep them safe.

We have stayed there 3 times and we love the big live oaks for shade the porches with rocking chairs and the fenced yard for small kids and dogs. It's in the middle of the island so it's close to everything.

We love the fenced in yard great for small children and pets. It's quiet and conveniently located to both ends of the island. The large back porch with rocking chairs and big shade trees is very lovely. We will be staying again.

We love everything about Fanci’s Hideout, we love the private access to the beach, which some evenings we were the only ones there and it was amazing. The house is always immaculate and has everything we could ever need. We look forward to staying at Fanci’s Hideout every year, Fanci’s makes our vacation so relaxing and easy.

Great access to the beach. 5 minute walk through neighborhood and beach area was private. Great home for the pets with a backyard fence. Would stay again.

Home was perfect for large family and a pet. Loved the tall trees and wildlife.Also loved having the fence. We found the house super clean upon arrival and had everything present to have a nice relaxing vacation. The walk to beach was very quick and easy for our family. I do think if traveling with and elderly individual the walk to the beach could be a challenge but for the vast majority it is no issue. Overall, great stay, awesome house, will definitely book again!

We loved the location of the house. We could walk to the Crab Shack one of our favorite restaurants. Very dog friendly was a plus. It was our first vacation with our new dog. She loved walking down the street. There is a fenced backyard for dogs also. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet on the front porch.

Rustic,very clean. You can look out and see where your path to the beach is just down the dirt road. During high season the traffic may bother some. All rooms very nice. Bright rooms. Both bathrooms great. Great showers and great hot water. Good kitchen to cook in. Just all around great beach house. What you see from main road is back of house.

I was extremely happy to find out that you can walk down to the beach in about 5 minutes. There is a path that goes straight to the beach so there is no main road to worry about which made it safe. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. This may be my new go-to spot for my beach getaways. Thank you!

This house is a perfect place for those traveling with kids and pets. Fenced yard and outdoor shower are great but the best part is the beach. After a short walk through the woods and over the dune, enjoy the day on what seems like your own private beach. No one anywhere close. Love it here.

Located right on 58 and on the ocean side (so no busy roads to cross to get to the beach), it was perfect for 5 kids and a dog. There are two fenced in areas so you can have the dog in one area while you unload the car. There is a shower house outside the back door. This area is a step back and time where you can see what Emerald Isle was like in the 1980s, with smaller homes and a short walk through the neighborhood and the dunes to the sea. There is a great swimming area in front of Grand View hotel with an extensive sand bar at low tide- perfect for little children to get in the water or build sand castles without being pummeled by the waves.
